We met our friends before the match at the Fulham Broadway underground station at 11:00am on Boxing Day. From there we joined a hoard of other Chelsea lovers at the So Bar for a pre-match drink. Kickoff was at 1:00. so at about 12:15 we started the march to the stadium, passing the Shed End along our way.

We passed the Chelsea Megastore on our way to the entrance gates. When we finally got to our seats, it took a few moments to get used to the view... we were so far away from the pitch!

The match was already underway at Stamford Bridge by the time we found our seats. Chelsea were ahead, thanks to an early goal by Gallas. The first half was definitely dominated by the home side, except for a few glimmers of Fulham attack by the American Brian McBride.

The first half ended with a scoreline of 2-1. The fact that Chelsea let in a rare goal at Stamford Bridge should have prepared us for Fulham's surprising spark in the 2nd half that saw them draw level at 2-2 at about the hour mark.
